We usually update our website and post paintings for sale every few weeks. This involves taking photos of all of the paintings at the gallery and taking their measurements and multiple people at the gallery get involved. Last week, when we took photos, we decided to include a new painting on canvas that a young artist named Branton had painted of birds. Because schools are on a break until January, the younger artists have been hanging out at the gallery and painting every day and helped out with measuring and taking the photos. ⠀⠀

Yesterday, when we went to take a few more photos before doing final updates, we discovered four new paintings, all of birds, on canvas and painted by young artists. When we asked the art teacher why they are all painting birds, he told us that because the artists saw us taking the photo of the bird painting last week, they excitedly created more paintings of birds, thinking that we would take photos of them as well.

So we did! While these aren’t necessarily works of fine art, they represent the hope and artistic spirit of the next generation of young artists. We posted them on our Facebook page and two paintings were purchased. Branton, the artist, was thrilled and plans to use the funds from the sales for his school fees in January.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
