Yesterday, Uweza and Lookslike Avido distributed 605 free masks to eight different organizations and community groups including Foundation of Hope, DADA 4 DADA KENYA, Map Kibera, Kibera Queens FC, Eagle stars kenya, Kibra United Soccer Club, Nubian Youth Council, and Fikisha. These groups will then ensure that the masks reach their respective program participants.
Our mask production team now includes 7 women and 5 youth from Kibera who are all able to make an income through the project. Thanks to early support from Project Kenya and friends in Kenya and abroad, we have been able to give out 7,700 masks to date but we are now almost out of fabric.
