There are currently 158 confirmed cases of Covid-19 in Kenya. As of today, movement of Nairobi residents is restricted to within Nairobi for the next 21 days. We are under a daily night curfew from 7 pm to 5 am. Many businesses, markets, and job sites have closed down and many Kibera residents are still forced to decide between heading out to try and find work or staying home and struggling to feed their families.
Together, with our partners Project Kenya and Lookslike Avido, we have given out food packs and/or financial assistance to more than 400 families. Out of respect to them, we will not be posting their photos but we are grateful to have been able to stand with them during this challenging time, thanks to your generosity.
