One of the most important goals of our soccer program is to increase girls’ and women’s participation sports and challenge the gender norms around their participation. Our women’s team is one of the strongest in the area and our soccer academy has always made equal access to equipment, coaches, and playing time for girls and women a priority. We are the only Kibera soccer program to be headed by two women coaches, ensuring our program is a safe space for women and girls and that our young players have positive role models and mentors to look up to.

We recently have seen an upsurge in girls wanting to play. As our budget for the program this year is already stretched, we need your help to ensure that they are able to access football shoes, uniforms, and all of the equipment that they need and to recognize how important their participation is.

Here is how you can help:

Donate $10 and buy one pair of soccer shoes for one player
Donate $15 and buy a personalized Uweza practice uniform for one player
Donate $25 and fully equip one player with shoes and a uniform

We are hoping to raise enough to equip 30 players with all they need to safely and comfortably play for the rest of the year. Any amount raised above our goal will be put toward equipment such as soccer balls and cones for the team, uniforms for their games, and shoes for next year.
